Calculation Basis

Concrete volume is calculated from the entered structure dimensions. The optional wastage allowance is then added to estimate the quantity of concrete to be arranged for construction.

For nominal volumetric mixes, the calculator applies the selected dry volume factor and divides the resulting dry ingredient volume according to the chosen cement:sand:aggregate ratio. Cement mass is estimated from the entered bulk density and converted into bags.

Material quantities are preliminary estimates. Structural concrete mix proportions should follow the approved design mix, project specification and applicable standards. Nominal volumetric ratios are not a substitute for engineered mix design where specified-strength concrete is required.
