Alkalinity Calculator
Definition: Alkalinity is the acid-neutralizing capacity of water and is commonly expressed as milligrams per litre of calcium carbonate (mg/L as CaCO₃).
Alkalinity (mg/L as CaCO₃) =
(A × N × 50,000) / V
Where A is the acid titrant volume in mL, N is the normality of the acid, and V is the sample volume in mL.
Method basis: Acid titration method for alkalinity determination, consistent with standard water and wastewater laboratory procedures.
