Ambazari Lake in Nagpur is a man-made lake and was built in 1870 for supplying water to the city. Its name Ambazari has been derived from the Marathi word ‘amba’, meaning ‘mango’. Among all the lakes in Nagpur, Ambazari Lake is the largest.
There is a garden abutting Ambazari Lake. Established in 1958, its official name is Aadya Krantiguru Lahuji Salve Garden, but it is simply known as Ambazari Garden.
