Hauz Khas Lake is a 14th century water body that was dug up to serve as a tank during Alauddin Khilji’s reign. These days the lake is home to numerous migratory birds, a sight for sore eyes in water-deficient city and testimony to the fact that we can be a part of the change we wish to see.
